Many of our recipes and demonstrations are related to putting together tea and sweets for a special occasion. January is Hot tea Month where we put a focus on this. Start thinking early about an event for your organization, friends, and family members.

Edna Kearns used free cooking and canning lessons as opportunities to talk about women’s rights.

The women of New Zealand have been voting for 125 years. Meghan Markle wore a dress from a feminist designer when she presented a speech in New Zealand to commemorate the suffrage celebration there.

November is New York State History Month. Starting on November 6, 2018 a working model of the statue of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony will be on exhibit at the New York State Museum in Albany, New York. The statue will be unveiled in New York City’s Centtal Park in 2020, the first statue there to honor women. The working model can be seen at the state museum through March 31, 2019.

    What ever happened to the recipe calls for an Inez Milholland cook book? It seems like this is a terrific idea for the 2020 votes for women centennial.
