The exhibition of the “Spirit of 1776” suffrage wagon will be extended for a few more weeks. So if you haven’t seen the wagon yet, there’s still a chance. Call the New York State Museum in Albany, New York to confirm the wagon is still on exhibit before committing to take your trip.
This is exciting. After this brief extension, the wagon will be transported back to the state museum’s warehouse for a rest from dust and light in preparation for a 2020 exhibition when U.S. women will have been voting for 100 years. The wagon is an important symbol of women’s voting rights.
Watch for the announcement of a special program at Suffrage Wagon Cafe coming soon!
