Women’s Rights National Historical Park (NHP) is sponsoring Convention Days 2019,  July 19 – 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The Convention Day theme “Back to our Roots” explores the early movement, its leaders and the impact those roots continue to have on women’s rights today. This year’s event sets the scene for the upcoming 2020 centennial of women’s right to vote ratified by the 19th Amendment in 1920.

On July 20 at 10:30 a.m. the event opens  with a welcome ceremony, followed by an official kick-off of the centennial of the 19th Amendment. Convention Days has been a signature event in Seneca Falls for many years. Speakers include scholars and authors Judith Wellman, Sally Roesch Wagner, Susan Goodier, Walter Gable, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton descendant Coline Jenkins.
