The suffrage campaign wagon historic marker installed on the boardwalk in Long Beach, New York in June of 2021 to honor the votes for women organizing of Edna Kearns will be reinstalled nearby in the next few weeks by the city of Long Beach. The marker is part of the program conducted by the Pomeroy Foundation in conjunction with the 2020 suffrage national centennial across the nation to commemorate 100 years of US women voting. The prior installation in 2021 revealed that the historic marker highlighting Edna Kearns is too large for the boardwalk location. Patricia Bourne, a consultant for Long Beach, NY, confirmed the city’s plans for the relocation.
