The corn recipe is in memory of suffragist Edna Kearns who canned fruits and vegetables for Votes for Women and then went on the road to teach canning, as well as campaigning, for the suffrage movement.

  1. Grandma Edna should of franchised her business idea because here I am with no skills at all when it comes to canning! Over the years we figured out a way to roast our corn on the barbeque and we are happy to say that this method of soaking the corn is what we do also! It’s also nice to know that the chef pointed out that you can cook corn 3 different ways and boiling is not one of them!

    Hehehe, he jokes about rookies boiling corn! OK, so I won’t boil my corn anymore! Thanks for the great advice.
